How it works.
Install
Install contacts-vault through the softwaresoftware installer. It sets up local contact storage and registers search and fill tools for Claude.
Configure
Add contacts with names, emails, phone numbers, and any other fields you need. Data stays local and never enters conversation context.
Use
Tell Claude to fill a form with a contact's info. Search by name, look up details, and fill fields — all without raw data appearing in the chat.
Contacts stay on disk. The agent works with names, not raw phone numbers or emails.
Search and lookup
Find contacts by name with fuzzy search. Look up specific details when needed. The vault returns just enough for the agent to identify the right person.
Zero-exposure fills
Phone numbers, email addresses, and other contact details are injected directly into form fields. The conversation only sees names, never raw contact data.
Flexible fields
Store any contact fields you need — name, email, phone, company, title, notes. The vault adapts to whatever form fields are present on the page.
Local storage
Contact data lives on your machine in flat files. No cloud sync, no address book API. Your contacts stay under your control.
